Fiddlehead Montessori’s Summer Camp 2026
Where kids Explore, Create and Discover Ages 3-12
June 22 – August 7
Monday–Friday * 9:00am–4:00pm
What Makes This Summer Camp Stand Out?
Unlike many traditional summer camps that focus mostly on games and supervision, Fiddlehead integrates a Montessori philosophy — fostering independence, purposeful engagement, and self-directed exploration even in a summer setting. Campers are encouraged to make choices about their activities, build confidence through meaningful tasks, and develop deeper engagement with hands-on projects.
Activities are crafted to meet the developmental needs of both Early Childhood (ages 3–5) and Elementary (ages 6–12) campers. This ensures that younger children are supported in exploration and sensory play, while older children are challenged with extended projects, real-world tasks, and opportunities for critical thinking.
Our Summer Camp combines meaningful on-campus work with real exposure to nature — walking field trips to local parks, forest lands, and outdoor spaces. This blend supports children’s connection to nature, physical well-being, and curiosity about the world beyond screens.
Small group sizes (20 campers max with 2–3 teachers) and a thoughtful staffing approach mean children get individual support and attention, with a strong emphasis on safety, social-emotional growth, and positive group dynamics.

Project-Based, Themed Weeks
Each week centers around a fun, meaningful theme — like Rainbow Week, Under the Sea, Build It, or Outdoor Adventures — with projects that integrate art, science, movement, cooking, and teamwork. These themes are cohesive across daily activities, giving campers a deeper, immersive experience rather than disconnected activities.
Practical Life & Life Skills
Even in summer, kids engage with activities that foster independence — from preparing snacks to real-world tasks like measuring, observing, and working collaboratively — traits deeply rooted in Montessori practice.
Inclusive Community & Growth
Fiddlehead’s values — Respect yourself | Respect others | Respect the environment — are woven through the camp experience. This encourages empathy, cooperation, self-regulation, and stewardship — skills that last beyond summer.
